Update on George

Now to the story everyone has been asking about... George! His surgery went amazing. He had to wear a cone for a full two weeks to allow the stitches to heal, but we brought out special bowls, and he quickly adapted. Here he is on February 1st, less than a week until his stitches came out!

You can see that by the time it was time to get the stitches out, he was quite used to the situation. This is the very cool cat the day before his stitches came out, just this past Sunday evening. The green thing is his carrier, I swear he knew what we were getting ready to do!

George is now back at the rescue, and shows how grateful he is to be free of the stitches, the cone, the eyelashes poking him in the eyes, the whole darn mess! He rubs and purrs, and kneads the biggest batches of biscuits you have ever ordered. George knows that we did him a kindness, and he shows his gratitude in so many ways.

Now, George is looking for the purr-fect forever home. He has come to prefer the indoors, but in nice weather, likes to stroll outside. He is fixed, has all his shots, and comes with a lot of back story and love. We are accepting applications now, so if you are interested in giving George a place to call his palace, submit an adoption application and give us a call at 541-272-1187
