It's Been Too Long!

I could start this off with a list of reasons, a myriad of excuses as to why I have not written a blog post for our website in a couple of years. Bottom line, life happens. Some was good, some was not so much, we all have our ups and downs.
Through it all, this tiny rescue has continued to do its small part when it could to save animals in need. More and more frequently, I am becoming a community resource, looking up other organizations, helping direct people to the correct organization, answering questions, and replacing Google searches.

We are again at full capacity. That means we have 10 cats that have to be fed and cared for every day, that are ready for spay/neuter appointments and adoption. The cost of a month's worth of food is equal to fixing one cat. Here is my mathematical dilemma: we have funding for three months of food, or fixing three cats, or some combination thereof. No matter how I try to work this out, this will not get cats into homes and see us safely through the winter without help.
This is why it is so important that I reach out to the community and let you know that we need your support. One of the easiest ways to support us without costing yourself a penny is to sign up at https://www.fredmeyer.com/i/community/community-rewards with your current or new Fred Meyer Shopper's Card. You can also do this at the Customer Service desk in Freddy's. You can also donate cans. We provide the blue bags with the QR code stickers if you want to take them to Bottle Drop in Newport, or you can drop them off at our location in Toledo.
Of course, you can buy our sweatshirts, and we always gratefully accept direct donations. We use every cent for the care of the cats housed here, feeding them and getting them fixed. Your support is vital to our continuing operation.
